Maria holds a BEng in Aerospace Systems Engineering and an MSc in Aerospace Engineering and began her career as a systems engineer working on large-scale infrastructure and engineering programmes across the UK and the Middle East, including projects in the rail and nuclear sectors as well as major international developments.

Through this work, she developed strong expertise in requirements management and V&V activities, using tools such as DOORS® Classic and DOORS® Next to support complex, safety-critical environments and multidisciplinary teams.

Maria is now a Technical Consultant at Optimise Engineering, where she supports organisations from early-stage tool evaluation and trials through to deployment, configuration, and ongoing technical consultancy. Her work helps clients embed robust systems engineering practices and achieve long-term value from their engineering lifecycle tools and processes.
